Project settings: general and documents
Change a project's name, status, and visibility under General, and set its document behaviour, including the Explorer folder view, under Documents.

Project settings decide what the project is called, who can see it, and how its documents behave. They live under Settings at the bottom of the project sidebar, split into pages: this guide covers General and Documents.
General settings
- 1
In your project, open Settings, then General.

- 2
Change the project name, update the Project status as the job moves through its life, or switch the visibility between private and public.
- 3
Save. Name and status changes show up immediately on the project overview and in the Projects list.
Switching a project from private to public makes it visible to the whole workspace. Check what is in it before you flip that switch.
Document settings
Open Settings, then Documents to control how documents behave in this project: the defaults documents pick up when they are registered, and how the register presents itself to the team. This is also where you turn on the Explorer folder view.

The Explorer toggle lives here
The switch that turns on the Explorer folder view for a project is on this page, under Settings, then Documents. Once it is on, the team can browse files with Explorer and folder templates alongside the register.
A third page, Document workflows, sets up review and approval flows for the project's documents. That is its own topic: see Document workflows and action requests.
If you cannot see Settings
Settings require permission. If the Settings section is missing from your project sidebar, you do not have it on this project: ask your project admin to make the change or to grant you access.
