Project overview and activity
Find your way around a project: the sidebar sections, the Overview page, and the Activity feed.
1 min read
A project is the shell everything else lives in: documents, transmittals, RFIs, work items, milestones, members, and the change log. This guide shows you the shape of that shell so every other project guide makes sense.
Open a project
- 1
In the sidebar, open Projects and click the project you want.

The sidebar changes to that project's sections. Everything you see now belongs to this project.

The project sidebar
- Project holds Overview and Activity.
- Alerts surfaces things that need attention right now.
- Plan holds Work items and Milestones.
- Transmittals is the register of everything formally issued from this project.
- Files holds the document register and project photos.
- RFIs is the register of questions raised on this project.
- Manage holds Members and Labels.
- Settings appears if you have permission to change the project.
The Overview page
The Overview is the project's front door. It shows the project name, a visibility badge (private or public), the Project status, the Project manager, and quick links into the busiest parts of the project.

Activity and Alerts
Activity is the live feed of everything happening in the project: uploads, status changes, transmittals, RFI updates, membership changes. Scan it once a day and nothing surprises you. Alerts is stricter: it only shows things waiting on someone, so an empty Alerts page is good news.
Tip
The Activity feed answers "what happened?". When you need "who did it, when, and what exactly changed?", open the project change log.
